I dont have 3hrs to write a good race report right now, but I know monday everyone spends half the day on their Facebook and reading about the weekends race results before real work starts, so here is a quick little something something about the weekend.
I’m driving to Reno today (9hrs) so I can get back to training for Maui in 4 weeks.
I finished 2nd behind Nico Lebrun on this mountain goat course, but nailed my 7th XTERRA USA Series title. More about this tomorrow.
This is a quick peek at this whirlwind weekend.

Our home stay (5th year) with the Letendre family was epic, as usual. Hopefully they’ll come visit our farm in Africa soon.
Sunday “recovery ride” was a 2 hr 1000m climb (to 2400m) to the top of the Wasatch mountains. Bobby Behan is looking over Ogden towards the Bonneville salt flats and wishing our friend Geniel de Villiers (09 Paris to Dakar rally winner) could give us a run in his racing Touareg down the 12mi salt strip
Red always looks fast- whether its on a bike or on a tree…
Utah is amazingly beautiful…
During the week I made 2 store appearances with Gu and Carol from Balega socks, and this morning (Monday) I visited Suunto and was roped into saying a few things in a big meeting. Why is it my legs get shaky when talking in front of so many people, but not shaky when racing in front of thousands? From the look on my face here I was talking rubbish anyway. Check out the new Suunto Elementum watches.
