The Caveman’s instincts pulls him to the river for FLY FISHING!
A Brown Trout in the Mad River on a size 20 barbless Royal Wulfe fly. 3 weight rod with 12 ft leader+tippet. Got to love the waterproof camera…
I love these small rivers- very challenging fishing.
My 1st catch of the day. Sure, its tiny, but you have to start somewhere!
It came after the fly, but somehow I hooked it by the tail?! I used my favourite South African RAB fly. (Red Arsed Bastard. But in polite conversation its called Rough And Buoyant)
Size don’t matter in that context.
