Legs for hire…
Benita De Witt (l) and Jan Hendrik trying to make the Caveman look presentable. (I just got back from a 9hr tyre testing day- hence the cycling kit and stupid tan/dirt line)
Benita de Witt has been my physiotherapist in South Africa for the past 12 years. Since then, I havent had a single sports injury. That was not trauma related!!! (ie bike crashes) She is very innovative and forward thinking in her treament. She uses the Lyno Method, “bankie”excersises and yellow page wedges to balance athletes. Read more about it here. Benita is making a new website and needed a picture of a pair of sporty legs for the logo on the homepage. It was an honour to be elected. Here is the process of getting the pictures taken.
Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen , photographer & designer extraoridinaire took the pictures at his stunning studio in Bosmans Square, Stellenbosch.
The picture next to me is a creation by Jan Hendrik from the Paris fashion show. He dragged and dropped all the pictures he took on top of each other.
When the shoot was done, I marveled at his studio- really tastefully done. Here are some shots from my camera:
I thought this was a clever shot- getting www.janhendrik.com in over one of his Paris Fashion show pics.
Two colours & clean lines…
Love the two porcelain dogs
The outside of Jan Hendrik’s studio. The Bosman Square Farmers Market.
Oh yes, before the shoot I had to clean a full days dust and sweat off my legs. The mens room had a nice marble counter and I used a trusty Falke sock to scrub with. My poor mom…
Did you take those foot-gloves out for a run? They look interesting…
